Abstract

In this paper, a new and robust image encryption schema based on chaotic system synchroniza-tion and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) is proposed. First, a discrete wavlet transfromis used to decompose the image and to decorrelate its pixels into approximation and detailcomponents. Then, a selective image encryption based on chaotic algorithm is applied to encryptonly a subset of data. To recover the original image, the proposed designed synchronization isbased on the use of aggregation techniques and Borne and Gentina practical criterion for stabilitystudy associated to the Benrejeb arrow form matrix for system description. Experimental resultsusing hyperchaotic Henon map demonstate that the proposed cipher own has a good resistanceagainst brute force and statistical attacks.
